Canny Beef Stew

Instructions:
Yield: 10 Servings
2lb Beef stew meat, cut in
1can Diced carrots(1 lb); drained
1can Small whole onions (1 lb);
1can Whole tomatoes (1 lb)
1can Peas (1 lb); drained
1can Cut green beans (1 lb);
1can Small whole potatoes (1 lb);
½can Beef consomme (10-½ oz)
¼cups Quick-cooking tapioca
1tablespoon Brown sugar
½cups Fine dry bread crumbs
1  Bay leaf
½cups Dry white wine
  Salt, pepper

This stew relies entirely on canned vegetables. It is an ideal recipe for a slow cooker pot. Combine meat, carrots, onions, tomatoes, peas, green beans, potatoes, consomme, tapioca, brown sugar, bread crumbs, bay leaf and wine in large casserole or crockpot. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and bake at 250 degrees F. for 6 to 7 hours.
