Recipe 4 All: New Yorker Pita Sandwich Recipe

New Yorker Pita Sandwich

Yield: 4 servings
¾lb Boneless skinless chicken
½cups Chopped onion
½cups Green bell pepper strips
1tablespoon Vegetable oil
1can HEINZ Vegetarian Beans in
2tablespoon HEINZ Horseradish Sauce
¼teaspoon Salt
ds Black pepper
4  Pocket pita breads (5" dia)
8sl Tomato
  Leaf lettuce

In skillet, saute chicken, onion and green pepper in oil until vegetables are tender-crisp and chicken is tender. Stir in beans, horseradish sauce, salt and pepper. Simmer 5 minutes to blend flavors. Cut pitas in half and tuck 1 tomato slice and lettuce into each half. Fill each with about 1/3 cup bean mixture.

Makes 4 servings (about 3 cups mixture)
