SPLIT PEA STEW INGREDIENTS:

Split Pea Stew

Instructions:
Yield: 8 Servings
1lb Beef Stew
3sl Bacon
1  Onion,cut into eights
6cups Water
1cups Dry Split Peas
1  Lime,juice and rind
2teaspoon Salt
¼teaspoon Nutmeg
¼teaspoon Turmeric
16oz Whole Kernel Corn,drained
16oz Carrots,drained

In a dutch oven, brown beef with bacon. Add onion and 2 cups water. Simmer 1 hour. Add 4 cups of water, split peas, lime juice and rind, salt, nutmeg and turmeric. Simmer one hour more. Add corn and carrots. Heat therough, serve.
